I have completed all roles involved in a Literary Circle while reading Cynthia Lord's Rules chapters 1-11. The roles made more sense as I completed them. They definitely helped me process the material. I am only halfway through the book. I can't wait to see where the story goes and what becomes of our Literary Circle!

I wanted to take a moment to thank you for one, accepting the feeler I put out onto the Discussion Board Questions about anyone wanting to do a literary circle. You were the only one who accepted and I do appreciate it. You've also helped me along the way of correcting wrong to hopefully right through this blogging experience in being a part of a literary circle. I've never done this before, nor have I seen it in the classroom, so I have been a "newbee" to this and have a better view and understanding of what it is about and what it takes to collaborate in this type of environment. While online has its challenges, I found we worked nicely together as you guided me through and got me onto the same page together. So 'thank you'...

  2. This was new for both of us. I am glad we picked a meatier book, I think it made the Lit Circle make more sense as an approach/companion to reading. Thank you for hanging in there. I think we both will have plenty to write about for our reflection, both things that went well and things that did not. Overall, I am grateful for the experience!

  3. You two are the only ones who took that leap of faith and worked together, and I appreciate that. I am glad that you both tried it, frustrations at something new and all; you did it!
